 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why do you describe Croft as a family club?

Our aim is to provide an environment where family groups can enjoy the freedom of naturism to the full in a safe environment. Others, not in family groups, are welcome to participate but must appreciate that the club does not condone behaviour offensive to family groups.

Is there a club policy on single visitors / members?

We have a number of single male and female members and visitors. Acceptance of membership and booking applications are at the discretion of the owners and management. There are no specific tests for single people.

Could we bring our dog(s)?

Yes. However, they must be kept on a lead within the bounds of your own pitch unless being exercised on our dog-walking area.

Would we need to bring any identification?

As part of everyone's security we ask for Identification before you stay on site: a passport / international card for foreign visitors, a BN Card, Photo driving licence, Student card, Pension book - just something with your address on, showing who you are.

Is alcohol allowed on site?

Yes. There is no licensed bar but you are welcome to bring your own drinks.

Is there a club policy on depilation?

No

Are there any facilities for massage on site?

No.You are welcome to practise massage in the privacy of your caravan, of course. Enquiries about "massage by 'large bosomed blonde ladies'" are not well received.

Could we take photographs?

You are welcome to take photographs of your own family group and others who are warned in advance and agree to be included. As in any naturist location, care must be taken not to include other people in the background, inadvertently or otherwise.

Is there a club policy on body piercings / jewellery?

There are no hard and fast rules on this. However, our general view is that genital jewellery must be discreet to be compatible with our aims as a family naturist club.If in doubt, please ask before booking.

Would we need to be naked all the time?

We are a Naturist club so, if the weather is suitable, we expect adults to be naked (naturist not masochist if it's cold) - a large T shirt or sarong is acceptable for shy first timers. If they are still not comfortable after several visits then perhaps Naturism isn't for them. The pool is a textile free area - if you want to use the pool you have to take all your clothes off.We never ask any child to take any clothes off. That is entirely up to them and their parents. As no costumes are allowed in the pool it is their choice whether they go swimming or not.

Is there any restriction on the number of visits we could make before we had to join the club?

No. We have an open policy on visitors (holiday or day), who are welcome to come as many times as they like without any pressure to join.

Are there any security procedures on site?

We ask you to sign in and out of the site. This is so that, should anything terrible such as a fire happen, we would be able to update the fire brigade and ensure that everyone was out and safe.

Do you cater for vegetarians at your events?

There is usually a vegetarian option at our evening functions. However, we recommend visitors to check with us before booking the event.

If you have a question not covered by the above list, please feel free to phone 01354-638445 or send an email.
